Nature of Work:

Assisting the Elder's Cook in preparation, and cleaning of facility for the Nisqually Tribal Elder's Program which requires meals to be served.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The work is carried out in accordance with relatively specific and detailed instructions as to procedures, methods and techniques to be used.
  • Provides assistance in the purchase of food, supplies and materials.
  • Provides assistance with preparation of meals.
  • Set up and cleans facilities and equipment utilized in the program.
  • Set up dining table with plates, utensils, condiments, or other supplies as required.
  • Carry out the essentially repetitive task and requires little use of judgment, other than those items pertaining to the culinary arts.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. '

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • An ability to follow orders.
  • Basic culinary skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning supplies, used for disinfecting and cleaning of facility.
  • Knowledge of high volume of food preparation.
  • Must pass a Character Investigation/Background Check.

Special:

  • Employee must acquire valid County Food Handlers permit within(30)

thirty days of employee.


Desired:
